As the years go by, more and more companies are launched. Some have social consciousness at the core of their mission. B Corp officially certifies their positive impact, creating a network of like-minded businesses working for profit and good.
The world will never be perfect but B Corporations take steps to slowly improve the earth in which we live by making the changes we want to see.
B Corps work to reduce inequality, lower poverty, contribute to a healthier environment, and build stronger communities.
With regular corporations, we often see that the work employees achieve goes unnoticed. But within a B Corp, employees work in high-quality jobs that provide purpose and dignity.
Positive impact. That is at the core of their mission. Certified B Corporations balance purpose and profit. They are legally required to consider the impact of their decisions on their workers, customers, suppliers, community, and the environment. This is a community of leaders, using business as a force for good. They are certified through third-party validation, public transparency, and legal accountability.
Even if you do not interact with this type of corporation, you will still be affected by this positive impact. One of the companies we carry happens to be a B Corp as well. U-Konserve demonstrates all of the traits above with its zero-waste collection for the kitchen. In the future, we plan on adding many more B Corp certified brands, and becoming one ourselves… ;)
Corporations like these are inclusive. Forces for good, B Corps motivate us to continue on our own individual journeys towards making healthier, more positive choices for ourselves, our families, communities, and the environment.
